Light My Fire

I'm wired from the awesome one night only reunion performance of Fire-Ana and Soraya after a ten year hiatus. The Captain's Bar of Mandarin Manila was packed with rockers and rollers who screamed, shouted and danced to Ana and Soraya's rendition of Queen's We are the

champion and We will rock you, the Beatles Yesterday, Hey Jude, Ana's very soulful and amazing rendition of the theme song of Love Story in english and spanish and Soraya's riveting and sexy performance of Proud Mary. The two hour show ended with a four song encore of Abba favorites like Dancing Queen. Rocker Nilo Santos sang some Rolling Stone oldies like I can't get no satisfaction. It was a Las Vegas show in Makati.Thank you for the music my friends. I love you. And so to sleep  and dreamland with Fire's cool vibes keeping me company.

Kissing John Travolta Part 2 Final

Kissing John Travolta Part 2 Final

Lied des Tages

Beegees-Stayin Alive[remix]

listen and download at 4shared.comNacho swaggered towards us trailed by pretty 6 year old Amica, the daughter of Mimi and Alex and two other cute moppets. “Proest”, he gestured to me with his champagne glass. I toasted him back with my beverage of choice, sparkling mineral water. Benjie, now woozy from the sparkling white wine, tried to follow the seemingly sophisticated chatter in several languages. Nacho and I continued our verbal flirting camouflaged by the senseless prattle to the total amusement of Angelica.

Ten minutes to midnight, Angelica and I made our way to the back of the house checking out the bedroom where we will spend the night together with the Austrian contingent. We wanted to get away from the party crowd in the living room area. We didn’t want some strange lips on ours on New Year’s Eve. Angelica took out a pack of Gitanes and started to smoke.

Two minutes to the Witching Hour. Somebody rushed into our private space and grabbed me by the hand. It was Nacho. I gamely went with him lured by the urgency of his touch.

We entered the bathroom and he shut the door “Happy New Year”, he said into my ear with a nibble. Then he kissed me. I barely had time to gulp for air as I kissed him back with the same passion.” Hey, why lose the momentum”, I was laughing to myself. “I like these strange lips on mine tonight.”

In the background we could hear the count down begin. Zehn, neun, acht, seiben, sechs, funf, vier, drei, zwei , eins “Glueckliche Neues Jahr- Happy New Year!!!!” Nacho and I were oblivious to everything else but each other.

Then we heard the door open and framed against the light were three little figures. “Was machst du da?-What are you doing?” squeaked little Amica. “ Nichts, Nothing.”, we replied in unison as I scooted out of the toilet.

I ran back to Angelica who was still smoking her Gitanes and drinking Sekt. Nacho followed closely behind me. “Hey girl”, he said with a wink, “remind me next time to lock the door.” I laughed and I nodded. “What was that all about?” Angelica asked batting heavily sequined lashes.

And that was how I kissed John Travolta on a New Year’s Eve in wintry Stuttgart.

The end.

Chocolate is the first Snow Patrol song I listened to, its in the soundtrack of the 2006 movie Last Kiss and I got hooked. I felt like I was on a road trip and the window of the SUV was open and I could feel the wind and the rain on my face. Its music to listen to on the beach as the sun is setting, its music to while away a rainy day, its music to dance to alone on the edge of tomorrow.Listen and forget the world. I tuned in to chill out music for years and this band's music has that same blissful quality.Chasing Cars from their 2006 album Eyes Open was an insert song for the second season of Grey's Anatomy, Run,Chasing Cars and Signal Fire are in the ost of Spiderman 3. The group is releasing its new album A Hundred Million Suns on October 2008. I bring you five of my favorite songs in this playlist. Download album here.

Simple Plan- Your Love is a Lie

I fall asleep by the telephone
It's 2 O'clock and I'm waiting up alone
Tell me where have you been?
I found a note with another name
You blow a kiss, but it just don't feel the same
Cause I can feel that you're gone

I can't bite my tongue forever
While you try to play it cool
You can hide behind your stories
But don't take me for a fool

You can tell me that there's nobody else
(But I feel it)
You can tell me that you're home by yourself
(But I see it)
You can look into my eyes and pretend all you want
But I know
Your love is just a lie
(Lie)
It's nothing but a lie
(Lie)

You look so innocent
But the guilt in your voice gives you away
Yeah you know what I mean
How does it feel when you kiss when you know that i trust you
And do you think about me when he "sexed" you?
Could you be more obscene?

So dont try to say you're sorry
Or try to make it right
Don't waste your breath because it's too late, it's too late.

You can tell me that there's nobody else
(But I feel it)
You can tell me that you're home by yourself
(But I see it)
You can look into my eyes and pretend all you want
But I know, I know,
Your love is just a lie
(Lie)
It's nothing but a lie
(Lie)
You're nothing but a lie

You can tell me that there's nobody else
(But I feel it)
You can tell me that you're home by yourself
(But I see it)
You can look into my eyes and pretend all you want
But I know, I know
Your love is just a lie
(Lie
I know you're nothing but a lie
(Lie)
Lie

The President's Last Bang [2005]

Rating:	★★★★

The President's Last Bang
Year:2005
Country: South Korea
Director: Im Song soo
Cast:
Song Jae Ho
Han Suk kyu
Baek Yun shik

It's a pretty good watch, a mix of imagination and fact!!! Imagination, because the writers couldn't actually know what went on in the minds of the main protagonists so they had to swing it with innovative dialogue and scenarios. Its appeal is in its tongue in cheek rendition of the President's last 24 hours. Historical and political knowlege of Korea not required, but the movie can be interesting fodder for your next cocktail conversation. This political satire and black comedy focused on the few hours before and after Park Chung-hee's assassination on October 26, 1979.It was funny and gory at the same time. Yeah, there was enough blood spilled to transfuse a battalion as the Director/Writer Im Sang Soo tried to show what went on in the last hours of the President's life. The title is a play on how President Park went, literally with a Bang while indulging in well some psuedo bang!!! Park Chung Lee was actually a General in the army before he became President not army captain as the KCIA Director Kim mentioned and Times magazine named him one of the top ten asian leaders of the 2oth century in 1999.Takaki Masao was his Japanese name when he was with the Japanese Imperial Army.
The movie was controversial as Park's only son Park Ji-man filed a suit against the production company for the fictional portrayal of his father as a fun loving cowardly libertine.
