Fangurl mode tonight May 5 2012 Saturday, as Nerie, Claire and I headed off to Venice Piazza to catch Korean pop and hip hop artiste Jay "Jaebum" Park live. I went straight to Makati from Instituto Cervantes with a pit stop at Bulgari at GB4. Then Claire, Nerie and I met up in front of Starbucks at Greenbelt 3. On the way to the concert venue, there was a wide rainbow right on top of the flyover on Ayala Ave, an auspicious sign according to Tibetan Buddhist. Of course I said a little prayer of thanks and affirmation. We dined at Little Asia before the concert.  Jay Park in person is gorgeous, with perfect biceps and body. He's so lithe that when he dances it seemed like he had no bones at all. He showed off his b- boy moves, his hip thrusts and the crowd screamed for more! Jay was main vocals for kpop boy band 2PM before he went solo. He's got an amazing voice and like my favorite jpop artiste Jin Akanishi, Jay composes most of the 15 tracks on his new album.I love the fan chants as he was singing, reminds me of fan chants on Music Bank & Mnet! Natch he sang Nothing on you, his collab with B.o.B. and one of my favorite songs. The one hour show was too short but Jay gave us fans a lot of fan service, saying the Philippines has beautiful women while scratching the back of his neck ( lol, in body speak scratching any part of the body means one is lying, ok I could be wrong here ) but of course the crowd, mostly women were flattered so screams drowned out the rest of his words.Jay also peeled off his black cut off shirt to reveal black muscle shirt which showed off his perfect biceps but he didn't show his abs, his choco six pack abs even as the crowd chanted take it off take it off. Jay made like he was gonna take off his pants then chickened out. LOL.  There were lots of fan bois as well. Two out of 3 fans who danced on stage for Jay were bois, one of them a korean/japanese/spanish/pinoy boi had his own fan club along. Jay is Korean American, homegrown boy from Seattle so there was no need for an interpreter thank God and nothing was lost in translation. Didn't get the name of the emcee but she did a pretty good job, so did the back up dancers, 4 guyz and a girl and this gurl who kind of ero danced with Jay during one song. I'm not good at doing recaps, so I'll post some pics that Claire took, since I still don't know how to download the photos I took . I'll embed some fan videos too that Katz and Almond took at Jay's concert at Eastwood last night. Jay signed about 200 CDs for fans at the Meet and Greet. One of his handlers told us Jay is staying at Richmond Hotel at Eastwood. Waah I still can't believe I actually watched his perf live. Jay was pretty amazing when he was still part of 2PM and I really enjoyed watching him and the boys on Idol Army, and Wild Bunny, 2PM's vareity shows.
Jay Park has swag!  Ssshhhh lots of typos, this was posted way pass my bedtime.
