In the latest issue of the women's magazine ‘an･an' that went on sale on September 23rd, KAT-TUN member Akanishi Jin posed fully nude for his first time! The boldness and sheer provocativeness of the photos were unprecedented for a Johnny's member. Akanishi showed off his trim body while also appearing with a foreign female model in some racy, suggestive scenes. There were even pictures of the two passionately kissing each other.

The other Johnny's members who had appeared nude in the same magazine include V6 member Okada Junichi, Matsumoto Jun of Arashi and Yamashita Tomohisa of NEWS. For this particular edition the magazine chose Akanishi because “From the standpoint of women, he epitomizes an ideal form of male sexiness.” For the previous articles featuring Johnny's members, the photos while provocative had retained a pure, innocent aspect. For the Akanishi version an･an added a different theme: ‘Males Loving Females Tenderly'. Also, Akanishi himself requested for the photos to show an ‘aggressive style' as well. Among the scenes ‘produced' by Akanishi include a photo where he gently bites the jaw of the female model while caressing each other. Throughout the photo session Akanishi talked with the female model in fluent English to make her feel comfortable. The intimate atmosphere between the two made it seem as if the pair really were seeing each other.

The sexy, wild ‘Akanishi Land' spanned 8 whole pages, and doubtless female fans became hypnotized by the photos,

NICANOR PERLAS IS RECIPIENT OF THE MANUEL L. QUEZON GOVERNANCE  AWARD FOR CIVIL SOCIETY

Nicanor Perlas, who has expressed his intention to run for the Presidential elections in 2010 will be awarded the Manuel L. Quezon Governance award for Civil Society by the Good Citizenship Movement (GCM) and the Federation of Catholic Schools' Alumni/ae Associations (FECASAA) on August 21,2009 at the 4^th National Conference on Good Citizenship at the De La Salle University.

Perlas is a renowned civil society leader, an advocate of integral sustainable development, environmentalist, farmer, microfinance expert, global speaker, scientest, author,activist and educator. He is the recipient of several national and global awards including the prestigious Right Livelihood Award or Alternative Nobel Prize (2003) “for his outstanding efforts in educating civil society about the effects of corporate globalisation , and how alternatives to it can be implemented.” Perlas won the Global 500 Award from the UN Environmental Program (UNEP), and was one of the TOFIL Awardees for outstanding Filipinos, both in 1994 for his campaign against the abuse of pesticides and founding of the Sustainable Agriculture Coalition. His other awards include the William F.Masterson,S.J. Agriculture Award(1995) and the Public Service Award, Municipal Government, Maasim, Iloilo(1972).

In his book “Shaping Globalization : Civil Society, Cultural Power and Threefolding”, Perlas detailed an approach to governance that involves the people in the process of change and transformation of the country through which the government will really become transparent and accountable. This approach of participatory governance resonances with Perlas' battle cry of “Tayong Lahat ang Sagot” The book is a global bestseller and has influenced diverse institutions, global thinkers and local governments in the Philippines. The United Nations has adapted a similar approach in implementing its Millennium Development Goals.

Nicanor Perlas, as civil society Co-chair of the Philippine Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD), helped formulate the Philippine Agenda 21, the nation's blueprint for sustainable development that provides an action plan for concretizing the vision of a truly participative form of governance for the Philippines. The agenda stresses dialogue with the people and meaningful partnerships among the different sectors of society for genuine development. He is a founder of the Centre for Alternative Development Initiatives (CADI) that has helped farmers shift from chemical intensive farming to bio dynamic farming. As board member of the Life Bank Foundation, Perlas has helped extend micro credit financing to jump start livelihood programs for thousands of families in remote barangays. Perlas was Co-Chair of the Green Forum of environmental groups, and a technical consultant to the Presidential Commission on the Philippine Nuclear Power Plant during the administration of President Cory Aquino,that found the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant defective. He has participated in peace negotiations with the MILF through his prior work with the GOP-United Nations Development Program in Mindanao. Perlas is prioritizing the resolution of social injustice in the Christian-Muslim conflict in his systemic strategic agenda that provides a wholistic and integrative approach to solving the ills of the nation.

Other awardees at the conference are Bishop Soc Villegas who will receive the Benigno S. Aquino award for Nationalism, Civil Society and John Gokongwei for Governance in Business.

Just another day in paradise

My birthday meme. Spazzin' and flailin' over my blessings.Thank you Lord.

Today was just another day in paradise and I turned a year older. Started the day with meditation then mass at the Stella Orientes.Logged into my online Kabbalah class for an hour. This time the broadcast was from St, Louis with Mike Kellog.There is none else beside Him-Shamati 1. 

Thanked Mama,Cosette, Ching and Cynch for the gifts.Got a kiss from Miguel,the only male in my life now aside from Jin Akanishi who is virtual and Jo In Sung who is not only virtual but in the army for two years.:( I love you sweetie, Miguel, try not to grow up too fast. Got an email from Lala , its only July 28 in Toronto so tomorrow she will call.Got text messages and calls from friends,family and a personal note.Chatted on YM with Agnes from Jakarta.Got a surprise call from my first arnis instructor Guro Maning Borza who said he has a website arnisrapado.com Remind to tell Guru Dedy about it.

Finally opened a Twitter account and it took me a while to figure out how to embed that widget in this blog. Posting on twitter is like having a conversation with myself! *Wicked!* Followed Nick Perlas and shenbrood(Dave) on Twitter.

Cynch treated me to buffet at the Heat at Shang Edsa Hotel. Today was about food.That shrimp cuddled in a fillet of sole and simmered in a melange of tomato sauce with fresh cream and hollandaise was too yummy for words.Edam and brie cheese, smoked salmon and salmon sushi, fresh green salads,spinach seafood soup (too salty), ebi tempura, shrimp siomai,yorkshire pudding, buttery bread pudding and vanilla ice cream(childhood comfort food),white chocolates.But gingerale was out of stock. I was in foodie heaven. Visited the Health Club at Shang with Cynch and saw Paolo Contis, Dingdong Dantes (Cynch stared and stared and stared), Mr. Smith the husband of Mrs.Smith (no kiddding), I talked to Mr.Smith too. Spoke to James Yap the basketball player who also jogs at the Ultra Oval where we first met.Cynch stared again and asked him his family name. Only then did she realize who he was. *lol*

Stared at Jin Akanishi's picture, the sexy one from the Break the record summer tour 2009 and drooled on my keyboard.That's my lappy's wallie now. Hey, I may be a year older physically but my brain is stuck in adolescence. 

Listened to Daughtry's new album,Leave this town. Love the track No surprise and You don't belong. Listened to my favs from Daughtry's 2006 album-Feels like tonight,It's over and What about now. Listened to Jin Akanishi's Wonder in english featuring Crystal Kaye and Jin's solo Care,Murasaki and Hesitate.Can't get enough of his voice, its awesome. He really should have his own album and solo concert soon. Are you listening Johnny sama? Listened to my collection of the classics from the anime La Corda d'Oro. *Floated* Remind self to listen to my classic collection from the anime Nodame Cantibile.*bliss*

Did other important but boring stuff.Multitasked.

Daydreamed I was on the beach in Marbella, Bali, Boracay, Bohol,Maldives.I swear it was so real, I got a sunburned nose from it. *evil laughter*

Happy 25th Birthday Jin Akanishi-O tanjoubi omedetou GACKT

Jin Akanishi born July 4,1984. Japanese idol( yes, that's his job description), actor, singer, voice actor, one of the lead vocalist of Kat-tun, the japanese pop band,songwriter and composer. Happy Birthday to the King of Sexy,beautiful,talented,free spirit,man of substance. Here are some of my favorite Jin icons and photos from An an 2008 where he was featured as second sexiet man in Japan and With magazine 2009. Jin has one of the best voices in Johnny Jimusho, the agency that has guided his career since he was 14 years old. The talents managed by this agency are collectively called Johnnys after Johnny Kitagawa who established Johnny Jimusho in 1963.  He hit the high notes while harmonizing for the ballad version of the song Gold during Kat-tun's Kaizokouban pre- debut concert in 2005 that totally rocked the concert audience that night.  Jin's fandom is awaiting with excitement his on screen debut in the movie Bandage where he plays Natsu a 90's indie rocker. The producers had him specifically in mind when casting for the lead actor.The movie opens in January 2010.
