Like the rest of the world I was drawn in by the hype of the movie Twilight and actually went to see the movie. I haven't read the book but my teen nieces say its a winner so I will reserve final judgement until I've read the book. The transition from book to movie sometimes isn't as great as it is supposed to be. OK I found the movie kinda violent especially towards the later part when the vampires fought each other over Bella. True we came in the middle of the movie and left a few minutes before it started almost lulled to sleep by the movie trailers. Maybe I will go back to watch it in full, maybe not. Even the supposedly romantic prom dance did not move me at all.No kilig factor.I didn't feel the chemistry between the actors that played Edward Cullen(Robert Pattinson) and Bella Swan(Kirsten Stewart).Oh oh, and I said I was gonna reserve final judgement until I read the book and here I am saying in effect I didn't really like it. The best thing about the movie is the song Leave out all the rest by Linkin Park that was played while the credits were running. So dozou, here is the video. I posted the lyrics so you can sing along. The words are perfect for contemplating what my life is all about anyway. This song is my ohrwurm the german word that means earworm, cause its the one that's literally playing in my ear and my head the whole time. The next best thing in the movie is actor Taylor Lautner who played Jacob Black the teener who turns into a wolf on a new moon. I can't say if he can really act, but he is one handsome young boy, a mix of french german dutch and native american who has a black belt in martial arts.Jacob Black can bite my neck anytime. So move over Edward!

Leave out all the rest by Linkin' Park
I dreamed I was missing, you were so scared
But no one would listen, 'cause no one else cared
After my dreaming, I woke with this fear
What am I leaving when I'm done here?
So if you're asking me, I want you to know
When my time comes, forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some reasons to be missed
Don't resent me, and when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory, leave out all the rest
Leave out all the rest, don't be afraid
I've taken my beating, I've shared what I made
I'm strong on the surface, not all the way through
I've never been perfect, but neither have you
So if you're asking me, I want you to know
When my time comes, forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some reasons to be missed
Don't resent me, and when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory, leave out all the rest
Leave out all the rest
Forgetting all the hurt inside you've learned to hide so well
Pretending someone else can come and save me from myself
I can't be who you are
When my time comes, forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some reasons to be missed
Don't resent me, and when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory, leave out all the rest
Leave out all the rest
Forgetting all the hurt inside you've learned to hide so well
Pretending someone else can come and save me from myself
I can't be who you are
I can't be who you are
my daughter, justine, swears that it's THE movie to beat. she's watched it 3 times and wants to watch it again and again and again. different strokes for different folks. may not be for us older adults who've lived much too close to the edges of life ...
